Alma Accent DI Water Filter – Important Information
Most aesthetic laser and IPL machines use water circulation to cool internal components. The water pump continuously pushes water through essential parts such as the laser head, flash lamp, rod, and flow tubes to prevent overheating.
The DI (Deionization) Water Filter plays a crucial role in maintaining the proper quality of this cooling water. It ensures the ions in the water remain at a negative charge and removes dissolved solids. This protection is essential because if positively charged ions enter the system, they can generate static electricity or electrical shocks, potentially causing serious damage to internal components.
Beyond filtering particles, the DI Water Filter helps eliminate minerals like calcium, magnesium, and sodium that could otherwise build up and leave harmful residue inside your machine. Cleaner water ensures minimal scaling and lowers the risk of malfunction or component failure.
It is important to understand that the DI Water Filter’s primary function is to maintain negative ion charge balance. Not all water entering the system passes through the DI filter; some water flows directly into the machine. Therefore, it is essential to keep all water-filtration-related components in proper working condition to avoid costly repairs and extend the lifespan of your laser or IPL equipment.
